We experienced some problems with the Share Price Update for Reckon Accounts Personal over the past couple of weeks resulting in loss of data for the 12th, 17th and 18th February 2015.
Reckon apologies for the inconvenience this interruption to the service has caused you.

We have been able to recover closing prices for Shares and Options for these days.

Please do the following to update your price history:

Backup your data files with at least one copy on an external media.

Download the recovered prices from: http://downloads.reckon.com.au/SharePriceUpdates.zip and save to your PC
  • Chrome and Firefox by default saves downloaded files to your Downloads folder
  • Internet Explorer users are prompted for a location - Save to your Desktop, Downloads folder or My Documents for easy access
Extract the files contained in the ZIP file:
  1. right-click the downloaded file and select Extract
  2. accept to create a subfolder in the same name
  3. Open this folder in Windows Explorer (or File Explorer) and copy all 6 files to your C drive
  4. Take note of the filenames - they are in the format SharesFor12_2.csv; OptionsFor12_2.csv; etc.
Import into your Reckon Accounts Personal range datafile
  1. Go to Investing > Portfolio > File > Import > Import Prices
  2. In the Import Price Data window, in the File field, enter the full path of the first share price data file: For example:   c:\SharesFor12_2.csv
  3. In the Date field, enter the first date:  12/02/2015
  4. Click OK to import the share prices
  5. Repeat these steps to import the option prices from c:\SharesFor12_2.csv
Your datafile is now updated with the Closing Prices for the 12th of February 2015.

Repeat these steps for the dates 17th and 18th of February 2015.

If you require High and Low prices and volume for these days you will need to access other sources for this information, such as your Broker, Reckon HUBB Investor, the Business section of the newspaper or sites like eoddata.

  1. Right-click the share and select Price History
  2. Highlight the date (eg: 12/02/2015) and click on Edit
  3. In the Edit box add the High, Low and Volume data
