Single Touch Payroll Issues

I’m trying to set up Single Touch Payroll for a business. I have followed the steps involved and when I lodge the payment, it’s coming back with an ATO error message.

Hi, I’ve had the same issue. When uploading your file do you click File Replacement/New. Try that and see how you go. Thanx

Yes, I've checked what they have said to do in this article but I'm still getting the same error message.

Is there anything else that I can try to get Single Touch Payroll up and running because I'm still getting the same error message?

Hi Veronica

 

This error message specifically relates to an “Address” issue – Either in the “Company Information” window or in one of the Employee’s records.

 

Ensure there are no special characters - or inadvertent spaces! - in address fields, that the address lines are all the same format and that every employee has a postcode with 4 digits (no more or no less).

 

Once you have done the above, you will need to re-save the NEW STP file & then re-upload/lodge this in the Portal.
