SINGLE TOUCH PAYROLL PORTAL - How do I change the phone number in the company information as the ATO are advising an error with the phone number in the Portal.

On our submission for the 3/7/18 it is.....
The value specified for an item does not match the item type (value = "07.3812.0388", item type = String, uniqueID = http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt:TelephoneMinimalN) Hint: The Pattern constraint failed.


On our submission of the latest pay of 09/10/18...
The requestId is valid, and the Pull request is waiting in the queue.

The first error message shows that the phone number 07.3812.0388 contains invalid characters ie. the full stops. It must only contain numerical digits.

The second message relates to processing times from the ATO, more info here -
The request is valid but the pull request is yet to be queued - Single Touch Payroll 
If this doesn't change in the next day or so, let us know.

Hi all,
Any changes that you make need to be actioned within the Reckon accounting software you're using. Once that is completed, the pay event file needs to be recreated as you normally did and submitted into GovConnect.

I am having the same issues. I have changed the phone number in the Company Information in Reckon Accounts (ie removing brackets) and have tried without spaces and with spaces but I am still getting the same error. Why doesn't the software match the ATO requirements before we even start creating and lodging STP files only to find out weeks later that there are errors. PLEASE ADVISE as I have not been able to lodge a single file successfully in the last 7 weeks.

Finally SUCCESS.

This time I also removed the brackets and spaces from the Payroll Tax Form Contact Details and had a successful lodgement.

Hi Stephanie,
I tried countless times to submit STP after changing the phone number format in contact information only to keep getting errors. Finally realized i needed to change the phone number format in Payroll Tax Form Information also and finally had success.
I agree with you and can't understand why reckon accepts the phone number in one format yet reckon govconnect will not accept the same. Very frustrating.
