I am an experienced accountant that switched to Reckon One for my own small business account keeping. I have used it for 3 months and have been continually frustrated by it's limitations and faults. I have waited weeks for someone in development to call me back to discuss and still haven't heard from anyone. I am now looking for another software program to change to because there are too many issues with Reckon One. I have had many clients that it could have been a suitable option for them but I cannot recommend it in it's current state. Someone please contact me to discuss the things that need fixing!

Kevin the main fault is that one bank data has been imported, the NEW transactions tab frequently fails to load. Data will be there one minute then after utilising other parts of the software I go back in and the NEW tab is empty.... log off and back on, refresh a few times, go in and out and all of a sudden it's back. Sometimes it takes hours for it to reappear though. There are also about 6 other key factors that would be so basic to fix but until they are addressed I don't think Reckon is a viable solution.

I agree Sarah that there too many issues and no viable solutions forthcoming from the development team of Reckon One. After only 1 month with Reckon One, already we considering other options out there. As we are Quickbook users we thought this would be the perfect fit for us and for small businesses this platform should be ideal, but as it stands I too would never recommend it to anyone I know.

    Hi Sarah,

No transactions will disappear from the New Transactions screen unless you allocate them or delete them.

When you go to the New Transactions screen make sure the green highlight in the Upload Source section is on the bank feed line and not the Manual Upload line.  The table below will show either downloaded BankData transactions or manually uploaded transactions, but not both together.

What other issues are you having.

    regards,
    John.

John I'm telling you now that this is happening, and I am not the only one having the problem. I have 10 years experience using various accounting programs so I am fairly confident in finding my way around them and understanding what should and should not happen. I will speak with the development team about the other issues. Already looking for other software.
