Is it possible to insert a space between items on the Chart of Accounts.  I would like to group some of my items.
Thanks.

HI Sallie.  The easiest way to do that would be to create a Group Name for your grouped items and then amend the details for each of the group items by specifying them as sub accounts of the Group name e.g.
Group Name - Human Resources and then having sub accounts under that such as Salaries, SGC, Accured Leave etc.  These groupings will then be reflected in the reports that you run, and you can also manipulate the reports to only report details of the group as a whole instead of the individual items.

Further to this - can you get the items to be in alphabetical order under each 'Type'?

Yes, Marianne.  When you don't use account numbering in Reckon, all of the accounts run in alphabetical order within each segment e.g. assets, liabilities, income, expenses etc.  In some cases, to help your case, you may need to use sub accounts within sub accounts e.g. going down a further level.
