For the past 3 pay runs for my employee I have the attached "Declined Pay Run" notification, I have spoken with ATO but they tell me it is a software issue with Reckon. I have tried doing and Adjust Pay Run, but don't know what is wrong so don't know what to adjust?? Can someone please help me?

This is a glitch with the system.

Each of your declined payruns will have a DIFFERENT number with all those decimal places.

To fix it you need the number from your MOST RECENT error message.

Is your screenshot (dated 8/6/2020) your most recent error message?

If not, what is the strange decimal number on your most recent error message?

Hi Rav, hmm I think I will enter millionths of cents In my employee pay details, said nobody ever, yet the Reckon STP app keeps causing grief to Innocent user after user with this insidious bug. Please, do you have a target date when the Reckon STP app will have this bug banished for good?

Allison,

Its a glitch in the system.
It has added or subtracted a strange decimal amount to you Year-to-date Superannuation.

To stop the error messages and allow you to submit payruns correctly again, you need to get the Year-to-date Superannuation back to 2 decimal places.

If the screenshot you provided is your most RECENT error message, then you need to add 0.000000000001 to your superannuation.

To do this...

Create a new payrun
Select dates & your employee
Then enter the payrun as

Gross pay $0,
Tax $0,
Superannuation $0.000000000001  (After the decimal point put 11 zeros & a 1)

It will allow you to enter the 12 decimal places, then when you hit SAVE it will only show 2 decimal places (0.00),  but it will then let you submit it,  and stop giving you errors. So you can then submit payruns correctly again.

You need to then check your business portal or phone the ATO to clarify which of your payruns have submitted correctly to the ATO.

In my case, the ATO did not have a record of any of my "error payruns", so I entered them all again.

Other people have commented that some of their "error payruns" DID submit to the ATO so they didn't need to submit them again.

You'll need to check with the ATO to clarify whether your error payruns submitted.

Also, for some people this took 2 steps to remove the glitch, so if you get another error message, screenshot it again.

Thanks for your quick reply! I have submitted the 000000000001 pay run and it has been approved by ATO and I have then submitted the first of my error pay runs so will see what happens and keep fingers crossed! Thanks

I have now submitted all the pay runs that were declined and they have all now been approved! Thanks I should have come here first rather than dealing with ATO for hours on the phone!
