STP error

My STP has come back with an error:

The agent number used with your ABN or Auskey is not related. If using Cloud authentication check the agent number and ABN. 


Not sure whether this is a Reckon Govt Connect issue or an ATO issue.  I tried Reckon tech support but a 45 minute wait.

Any ideas on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

    Has your Software ID been registered with BAS/Tax agent with the ATO?   If you have an advisor lodging for you and their agent details are in the Company & Advisor info area of STP - then that software ID must be registered with them?

    I had the same issue and yes I am the BAS agent for the client however the accountant bumped me off.  If you are lodging yourself simply remove the Company & Advisor  and share the company file they can still access, review and or lodge stp files.
