STP finalised - myGov "Not tax ready"

Hi everyone,

I have finalised our STP for the year via the "Finalise Year/Update pay event" option in Reckon Hosted 2019 R2 as we had a handful of employees not be a part of the final pay run of the year.  On the Reckon Customer portal it is still showing as "pending", I have gone out and back in several times.  MyGov is also not updated as "Tax Ready" yet.  Does anyone know how long I should expect this to take?  Or have I done something incorrectly?

thanks!

Carly

    Hi Carly,

The ATO has advised that they are averaging around 72 hour response times on STP submissions at the moment.

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for your response!  Presuming, the ATO says my last STP file is successful, at that point should I expect myGov to update with "tax ready"?  I will keep my eyes peeled!

    thanks!

    Hi,

My employees are getting the "Not tax ready" when they go into their MyGov account, eventhough I have success for the last payrun of the financial year and their gross amounts match their end of year totals.

Do I have to Finalise the year some how?

    Thanks
    Fiona

    Hi Neil,

I have made a number of unsuccessful attempts to contact Reckon so hoping you will be able to help me out.

A number of my employees income statements are not 'tax ready' according to the ATO. Similar to Fiona Zinn's comment below - the gross wages and tax for the 18/19 FY for these employees is appearing accurately on their MyGov accounts, so it therefore it appears that whilst the ATO has received the final pay run, they simply haven't been 'finalised'.

I am hoping this should be a simple fix on your end. If I could please be provided an appropriate contact point to fix this that would be great.

    Thanks,

    Emily

    Hi Emily,

I have worked it out myself!  If you go into STP and tick the finalise year box below payrun and gross amounts.  You need to redo your last payrun for June 30, tick the box and submit.  It will come up as a $0 run with the number of employees listed for the year.  Then it was almost instant that it became tax ready on My Gov.  Hope this helps, get back in touch if you need to!

    Hi Carly/Fiona

A final STP submission is required with the “Finalise Year” checkbox ticked.

This is what stamps the employee’s YTD Pays – both as the employer with ATO reporting, & in the employee’s myGov account - as “Tax Ready”.

    Hi,
I did all this also and back checked all my submissions were OK . but some employees had a Tax ready and a Not Tax ready in their My Gov accounts ! why would this be ? the tax ready amount matched the EOFY summary  and the Not tax Ready amount didn't match any payment amount ?
    Thanks Michelle

    Hi all,

I did the final pay event for the year, however, some of my employees income statements are showing as Not Tax ready in MyGov accounts.  They appear to be casual employees who weren't paid in that final pay for the year.  How do I fix this?

There could be casual employees who only worked twice in the year & at the time I didn't know it was their final pay for the 2019 year.

Anyone who was paid in that final pay event for 2019 has a status of "tax ready" in MyGov.

Edit to add - I am using Reckon Accounts Enterprise Desktop & I only have the options of "full file replacement"
    "update event"
    "final pay event"

I chose final pay event for the last pay of 2019 year.
