STP free app - cannot log out

I have no problems logging on and using the app. In March I noticed that when I tried to log out of the app, I could not do so. I went to the SETTINGS page and found it blank. That said, I managed to successfully upload my monthly STP details. While I could not log out, I simply closed the app as best I could.

A month later, again I cannot log out. Again the SETTINGS page is blank.

I am not tech savvy but it seems wrong to close the app ever time I use it when I should be logging out.

What must I do to log out?

Hi Jay,
It sounds like you might be using an older version of the app. Can you head into your app store and download the latest update which at this stage is v.1.12.2

Thanks for the reply. Will I have to re-enter all my details (company and pay runs) or will they be transferred to the new app? Also should I delete the old app first?

No you won't have to redo your info or details, that is tied to your app account itself. You don't need to delete the app from your phone either, downloading and installing the update take care of it.

Thanks Rav, I'll give it a go tomorrow. But isn't not deleting the old version going to take up space unnecessarily on my iPad ?

The update that you download will install and replace the existing version on your iPad, it won't create a new separate app so there won't additional space taken up.

Thanks for your suggestion not to delete v1.6.0 but to download the latest version available, which I found to be 1.12.1.
As you predicted, after I downloaded 1.12.1 I was able to go to SETTINGS and LOG OUT of STP.

You may be interested  to note that v1.6.0 used up 26 MB whereas v1.12.1 (which in the iPad's SETTINGS page) includes the older app and together consume 57 MB.

I forgot to add that all the history & profile associated with the earlier (original) app, as you predicted, is linked to the new app, so there is no more legwork needed by me to operationalise the app. You were spot on! Thanks again.
