STP Mobile App - Initial setup - reports incorrect figures ATO. How do I reverse?

I recently signed up to the free Reckon Mobile STP App. The setup process included asking for the FY18/19 Income figures for my employees. I entered these. I entered 1 pay run for FY19/20. Now - My employee's ATO Income figures YTD include the combined figures of the FY18/19 Income and the pay run I entered.  Looking through the Australian Government Business Portal, I can see the pay run I entered for FY19/20. I cannot see through the business portal or through the Reckon App any way of reversing the FY18/19 figures that have flowed through to my employees ATO FY19/20 income. I note I have read a number of questions in the Reckon community forum about this, but I haven't been able to locate an answer that addresses the actual problem. The pay run does not need adjusting. The "Reckon FY18/19 Income question" and its flow on affects needs the fix. Please address this issue in your answer. The only potential solution I have seen is uninstalling the App and starting again. Will this work? Could a clear step by step by step instruction be supplied?   Many thanks if you can help.

Hi Mark,
You've mentioned you entered the 18/19 YTD balances so I'm assuming you started using the app before the start of the new (current) financial year. Did you submit a final pay run from the app and marked it as the final one for the 18/19 year as well?

Thank you for the reply! I appear to have registered for the STP on the 25th June 2019. I will have entered the 2018/2019 figures during setup when it asked for them. My first and only pay run was on the 25/7/2019. So no there was no final pay run for 2018/2019 as there was no pay run made during 2018/2019.

Timeline
25th June 2018 - Register product -> seems to have caused a problem
July 2019 - Noticed the ATO 2019/2020 Income = STP figure entered (problem identified)
25th July 2019 - Entered first pay run. -> seems to have worked correctly

Cheers

Hi Mark,
Just getting back to you on this. I've reported your case to our app devs and they're investigating causality of this at the moment.

In the immediate term, because there has been over-reported figures, you can create an adjustment with a negative figure ie. -$5000 in this example, to remove this from the employee.
(In the pay run screen > Click the blue + symbol > New Adjustment).

Hi Rav,

Nothing is easy.  The app tells me I can't enter a negative amount in the Gross Pay field of the adjustment.

Btw. When I just logged in now, this time the app asked me for the 2019/2020 YTD figures. I entered the values for these to reflect exactly what has been paid so far this year.  For me, that is only $500 and for my wife $0. Will this flow through to the ATO and fix the incorrect figures, and thus I don't need to make the adjustments?

Or do I still need to make the adjustments?   And in which case, how do I enter a negative adjustment?

I won't put in any more pay runs until we sort this out.
Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,
Are you entering in a negative value in the adjustment that is MORE than what is listed in the current Pay Summary? Or are you just entering the difference?

The reason I ask is because this message will appear if the value you are entering in the adjustment is more than the total of what is listed in the Pay Summary.
For example; if Employee A shows a Pay Summary balance in the app of $1000.00 gross but in reality it should be $900.00, the figure you need to put in the adjustment should be -$100.00 ie. so that it can 'amend' the existing balance.

Hiya,

When I first used the STP app. I was asked for the income amounts for 2018/2019. Using me as the example: My company paid me as an employee $5000 last FY. So I entered $5000. I have entered 1 pay run for this year (FY19/20). My company paid me $500.  There is only 1 pay run appearing in the STP App and a matching entry at the business portal.  But if I go to MyGov and look at my personal income for FY19/20, it shows as $5500.  That initial question about FY18/19 amounts when I first used the app has caused the issue.  In terms of the adjustment, hopefully this answers your question. I was attempting to reverse $5000 of income that I have not earnt this FY, but the ATO thinks I have.   => as per your instructions. The app is not letting me do it. What is the next possible solution?

Cheers
