Stripe Payments Integration

Hi,

Well done on including PayPal as a payment option. 

I would like to know if there is any plans to integrate Stipe as a payment method. I ask as has become a huge alternative payment facility online and PayPal fees are prohibitively expensive to use compared to Stripe.

    Hi Juan-Paul. We have 2 more options pencilled in for the first quarter of next year and we have had user interest around Stripe so we'll need to investigate that option is due course I would suggest.

    Hi Fiona. We have reviewed options and Stripe is looking like a very good option at this stage, and hence looks likely to be included on our roadmap.

    If I were a betting man Fiona I would say yes as we wanted another 2 payment options by the end of the AU financial year.

    Xero has been around for 10 years Teuta - Reckon One for 3, so unfortunately we have a bit of work on. That said, I was being cautious by saying years end as I expect to have 1 if not 2 more payment options sooner than later.

    So Reckon Professional is not going to have this option.

    Reckon One will be first, however we have discussed the desktop applications as we want to offer across the board.

    Any updates, we are relaunching a website soon with STRIPE payment and want to know if we can keep Reckon Hosted or do we need to move to another system?

    Hi Nicole. Is Stripe going to take payments within your website, meaning you only need to get those transactions in Reckon Hosted, not the payment engine itself?

    Hi Nicole, I have spoken to Stripe and they provide exports that can be entered into accounting software. However they also have a FEED of transaction data that we can expose to you as a bank feed. It takes a while to set up however that is the outcome we'll aim for by years end.

    Hi Edward. We have just released Reckon One / EziDebit integration (as of yesterday) and we purposely moved this ahead of Stripe as it offered a new dimension to payments (debit straight from the invoice for EFT and CC) that stripe doesn't currently offer in AU.

    We also had far more customer requests (our customers) wanting a direct debit option for their customers.

    Stripe is still on the roadmap for us, but will be next year now. That said, we are going to move ahead with zapier.com later this year (Reckon One is currently in beta on the Zapier platform) where we will be able to offer Stripe integrations at no cost to the user. 

    As for other Reckon products, we have designed our payment options in such a way that they can be used across products like Reckon Accounts and Hosted, and I am hopeful users will see these options come through next year as we start connecting all of our various products and tools together.

    I'm a new reckon one user and am completely confused about how my clients will literally pay their invoice. I agree paypal's fees are high and would like stripe as an option. I'm actually feeling a little cautious to send out my invoices because I'm finding very little clear information on how my customers can pay the invoice. What are the options, please? And do they automatically show up when I've emailed the invoice? Thanks..

    I have problems also Kyla-Jayne. I desperately want Stripe as an option .. I can send an invoice but essentially I am only giving information on how much the customer owes. They then have to pay by direct bank deposit or in cash (Paypal fees too expensive). I have been waiting for the Stripe option for a long time now. My business is a little different to most using Reckon as my business is located in Indonesia but I share your frustration!

    hi , for now if you were using Reckon hosted , we already have full automated Stripe feature. Your customer just clicks on "Pay Link " from their mobile device or desktop and enters their encrypted credit card numbers which they only see , and thats it.
    You get money into your bank account in 2 days time due to banking process.
    Then your payment is cleared in RAH all automated .

    Yes , this is the problem lots of people are not aware of it, Cosmic have a very good solution and i have  Reckon partners and end users who can vouch for Cosmic Automated payment feature.

    Once the invoice is paid the invoice is automatically marked :"PAID"  which is colourful looking cloud invoice and you can instantly send that paid marked invoice to your customer . We automatically clear the payment in RAH for you , no need for you to do it.
    Now we have web based Invoice available that is NO NEED TO USE ANY MOBILE DEVICE.
    Use your desktop or lap top.

    ALSO  ALL INVOICES THAT IS RECEIVED BY THE CUSTOMER IN HIS EMAIL SHOWS FROM : YOUR COMPANY NAME

    AND ALSO IF YOU HAVE CREATED INVOICE IN RAH directly ,now we sync those UNPAID INVOICES in our app and you send the colorful cloud invoice (we change it automatically) to your customer to get paid by Credit card and we do all the rest as well.

    Oh Shame, I'm not using Reckon hosted, just signed up to reckon one. I'm not sure I understand Cosmic. I'm new at all this automated invoicing. Is it an add on feature? And is it only for Reckon Hosted?  Thanks.

    Yes only for RAH and it's an Add on with a difference
    Stripe is only one part of the app
    We have Job Image Capture , multiple Notes be each Invoice and many more See Reckon Add on market
    Or please call me I am available to talk any time
    The App is mobile for Android and now on web based .
    The subscription is PAY As You Invoice Only
    .50 cents per transaction which I am sure is easily affordable

    Yes Chandras add on webinvoicing picks up all my unpaid invoices from RAHosted, then i email them from Cosmic which shows me the date my email was sent and also lets my client see they were sent from me and not RAHOSTED. When my clients open the email they are given the option of paying now by credit card. This is done through stripe but chandra has been able to link the stripe payment back to the invoice to show it is paid in Ra Hosted. How long have we been asking Reckon for just a few updates to Hosted to enable the best accounting package for small business to continue to compete in the everchanging web based world. Cosmic innovations has provided some of the facilities we've been asking for. Talk to Chandra - he is amazing.

    Thanks so much Chandra and Cosmic Innovations, we have been waiting a patiently for such an amazing add-on for our business.  This will allow our customers the ease of paying through Stripe straight away, showing their invoice as paid for their own records and better still, for us, getting paid so much faster! It will be less time consuming matching payments up, allowing us time to spend on more important things in life, Cheers Chandra, you are fantastic !
