I am trying to figure out if I can upload an Employee Tax File Declaration to my ATO portal from Reckon Accounts Premier Edition 2017. If I am able to how do I generate the file from within the program? I am using the Payroll function from within this program

Hi Lee,
Unfortunately, submitting TFN's through Reckon Accounts is not available at this stage.

The feature suggestion for this (raised here) has only received a small number of votes so far from users. I'd recommend that you vote for it as well if this would be important to your particular use of the software and would benefit from its inclusion.

Our development team will be looking at the 'most popular' or most requested ideas from the user base itself to implement in future updates where feasible.

thanks - have just voted.  I would say that a lot of people have no idea about how to do this, hence low votes.

I find comments like this very sad. The fact that you don't see sensibility only votes as a merit. We are all forced to do things on line with the ATO. Superannuation clearing house and now reporting weekly for employees. We are unable to lodge TFN's any other way other than post and electronically through the accounting program. It is not like we pay little for the privilege for using your program. It is relatively expensive.

It would be useful to fix the gap in your accounting software.

How does "sensibility" get measured? It can't. Votes can.

While I'm no fan of Reckon at times, I think it's commendable that they're looking for user driven improvements that are demanded from users themselves through this method rather than solely developers.

when is this happening, I have put my comment in the link provided, but how do i vote. If you are putting up an accounting software you need to address this problem, as this is a government's requirement, not outs
