Super payments for minors

How do you set up super for minors (under 18) who may earn over the $450 per mth threshold but not work 30 hours per week?

    Hi Jane

     

    I’m not too sure what you’re asking ….?

    The setup is no different as it is calculated on gross pay eg if gross pay exceeds $ 450 in a calendar month, Super will automatically calculate.  Alternatively, if you remove the $ 450 threshold minimum from the Super Payroll Item, Super will calculate on ALL gross pay.

     

    If you are saying that for this under-18 employee you don’t want to accrue Super, just don’t add a Super Item to the employee’s record.

    Hi Shaz, thank you for your reply, it answers my question. I won't add the super item as we don't need to pay super to them as they don't work 30 hours per week.
