Probably not the place to ask. Don't you have an accountant?

What is your problem with the online version?

Maybe move away from the Reckon 'Online' version and run a 'local' copy. Most of the problems I've seen from the online versions are because its an application running on a remote server.

Also anyone who has found a 'better' product won't be here, so no point in asking here.

Off Topic: This community really needs to be moderated, to the point that new post cannot be published until approved. So many posts are being posted under the incorrect category. The above post is vague, Andrews has assumed this post is for Accounts Hosted but it is in the Reckon One Category. Just makes me want to click unfollow! Which really doesnt help the community...

Well to be FAIR, they have sprayed the post to the following groups

Product Ranges: Accounts Business Range
Product Ranges: Reckon One
Product Ranges: Point of Sale
Product Ranges: New Version of Accounts Hosted
Product Ranges: Accounts Personal Range

So its hard to say what product they could be using..... ;) I never implied they had been using hosted BTW. I just said remote server (aka offsite to them).

At the end of the day, my points are still valid. They need to list their issues they are having, they also are looking in the wrong place for software advice, and if the online version web or app delivered from a remote server isn't working for them, maybe think about using the local version.

wasn't having ago at you Andrew just used you reply as a example, how vague the original post was and perhaps better moderation should be in place.

No worries Tim.... All good, but I agree better first posts are need for sure!! So many first posts are useless and end up being ignored because of this. Maybe the mods need to have a mini questionnaire for each new post to gather information? This could help for users to post better first posts.

Also the cross posting needs to stop. Maybe put a limit of two MAX. People seem to spray posts around like this one too. So this would stop it.

Hey guys, thanks for your feedback regarding moderation. To allow for transparency, posts are post moderated. I'll be sorting out the categories it's assigned to now.

The platform the community is built on is provided by a third party called Get Satisfaction (There's a whole web of other communities within the network. You use the one login for all.).

I think the questionnaire would ideal, as it would allow us all to get more insight into the problem, and therefore provide an appropriate answer. This is something I will raise with Get Satisfaction. **Fingers Crossed** for an outcome!
