I have been getting this notice for two days at login and cannot get into reckon. "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose Switch to to activate the busy program and correct the problem."

    Hi Leigh.  In the past I have seen this error occur in relation to emailing, rather than at login. I assume that you are able to initially login to Hosted but then have problems when you click on LAUNCH ACCOUNTS 2016 R2.  If this is the case, then instead of clicking on that, click on CONTROL PANEL which appears below that.  Then click on Log Off Remote Sessions (towards bottom on left hand side) and then log off any remote sessions which show up.  Then, after logging out, delete the browser tab you have been using, close down your browser, then restart it and try logging in again.

    Everything you have assumed is correct.
    I have followed your suggestions but i am still getting the same message after selecting which company to open.

    I have just been able to open another company but still not able to open the original company?

    I just wait 2 min and press try again, seems to work eventually, I think its Excel their end.

    Sorry Leigh, I cannot provide another alternative, other than restoring from your most recent backup, but that may not be all that welcome if you have entered a lot of transactions since that time.  Perhaps Fizzer's remedy will work for you.  Another alternative will be to give Reckon a ring as they might be able to reset something from their end.
