1. Microsoft Word and Excel are not available from within the new Accounts Hosted environment, rather you are required to utilise your own Microsoft Office applications installed on your local machine.

2. When you write a letter you will be prompted to save the file to your Q:\ drive. For letters to multiple recipients, they will be saved in one Word document and separated by a page break. You can then download the Word document to your local machine by using the Download function as described in Tip #3.

3. Launch Microsoft Word on your local machine to customise your letter templates and create envelopes. Alternatively, you can save the file from your Accounts Hosted session to your local machine and make changes as needed.

4. When you export a report to Excel, you will be prompted to save as XLS to your Q:\ drive. You can then download the Excel file to your local machine by using the Download function. Remember, the file will be saved to your Browser Download folder on your local machine, you can then copy and move the file to your preferred folder.

Hi Mirko, well this is such a pain in the *** the fields the harsh outstanding letter is using is not pertaining to our company and I have more than 100 to get out today. No telephone number so how are our customers supposed to call us! can you shed some light on (archaic new features on reckon hosted) a way  to sort this out. Seriously I am gob smacked at how un user friendly time consuming and cumbersome the new system is unfortunately you are losing us as a customer we are just waiting for our new software. Been a customer since 1996.

Hi Renee, apologies for the late response. I understand your frustration with the inability to edit within Hosted. Microsoft Office requires a license to be used on a Hosted platform, thus editing needs to be down via the physical computer. I know this work around is not ideal, for users like yourself that send a large quantity of letters/documents. I'm sorry to hear you are leaving us, but wish you all the best with your business. ^Mirko.
