Total pay figure is higher than taxable pay figure - seems to include the super amount

Does anyone know why since the beginning of 2016 the payslip (2 per page version) shows differing taxable pay figure and total pay figure. The taxable pay seems to include the super paid? Which also seems to increase the tax payment. There are no error codes, an employee has noticed it and asked me why. It seems that they may be paying too much tax.

    Hi Linda, have you checked the super item for this employee? The taxes tab may have inadvertently had the payg tax ticked?

    Yes have checked and the tax tab is not checked.

    Very frustrating - as I have looked back and it has happened to all our employees.

    I don't know how to explain the situation to them.
