Transfer employees to another company file

Is there a way to transfer employee details in between company files? We have two companies and I would like to transfer employees to company 2 file instead of rewriting it all. I'm sure it can be done. Thanks :)

    Hi Kellie,

    The most efficient way to transfer your employees List from company files is via our Export List to IIF Files function,


    Open the company file you wish to extract the employee List from:

    -          File > Utilities > Export > List to IIF Files..:

    -          Select “Employee List”:

    -          Save and Name the IIF file to your directory of choosing

     

    Open the company file you wish to attach the employee list too:

    -          File > Utilities > Import > IIF Files

    -          Select the IIF file you had created from the previous company file

    -          You should now see the list of the employee in the Employee Centre

    Hi Kellie

    Leon is spot on, but my warning bells are going off for 2 reasons, firstly make sure you take all the payroll items with the employees as well that you need.

    Secondly, I may be presumptuous, but want to export the employees list to the other company do I presume you will pay some  hours from each company to make up their weekly pay?
