On the laptop , Sunday, then on Monday when we tried to open quick book the menu appeared , new company, existing company, we selected existing company which took us to the browser to locate the backup.
The backup was only until 29/11/2017. I'm concerned about the data after that date.0 -
I'm not sure exactly where the default directory is.0

Ok I found the company files , they are dated 20100

thank you Kevin for your help, I was able to restore data until 27/09/17.
The rest to date is missing. Do you have any suggestions on how that can be retrieved?0 -
I found all the files Thank you so much0

Kevin Russell could you please tell me what the equivalent default directory (C:\users\public\public documents\intuit\Quickbooks\Company Files) would be for Home & Business?0

Astro, I'm not sure that KB article is quite up to date. I usually find the default location these days for a Home & Business data file to be C:\users\*yourusername\documents\Quicken. If not there it would be in the public\public documents folder.
