    Hi Vanessa

That sounds unusual as the default is normally transaction date order.  Can you clarify further on what you mean by “alphabetic transaction” order?

What version of Reckon Accounts are you using (eg ‘Premier 2019’)?

    Invoice ... Customer:Job
We have multiple jobs for 1 customer...
So on a monthly statement the transactions come up in based on the Jobs then date order..
I just want them in date order

Aha … so you don’t want them broken down into each job section?

In that case you can just select to display “Per Customer” (rather than “Per Job”) in the Additional Options on RHS in the Create Statements window:

I’ve just tried a few options in Create Statements for Customers w/Jobs in the Sample File & I can see what you’re saying!

I don’t use Statements myself & haven’t ever had a client mention this so didn’t realise that it groups them by job first & then date order within the group but unfortunately, that looks to be the case.

I can only assume this is due to the Jobs feature being the dominant characteristic in the program & the subsequent restriction in ability to override that & just pick up transactions.

I think the only other workaround option would be to create & customise your own “Statement” report like this for example:

I have had this problem for years. Some time ago I told Reckon they were the only company I knew of that sorted transactions by alpha reference of the transaction or job title. Every other company - probably in the world - sorts them by date of transactions, not job reference.
Reckon told me "too bad - suck it up"and wouldn't undertake any enhancements or options.
So I, too, send out ugly statements and my customers wonder what sort of an operation I run.
My son is an IT programmer and he tells me it wouldn't be hard to change given the will for Reckon to do it - and there lies the problem.
I don't believe you will get any help from Reckon.

Do you think Reckon read these problems?  Real businesses sending out real (Ugly) Statements

Nah they couldn't care less Vanessa. Reckon support has always been poor - witness the amount of forum replies that should be addressed by Reckon - but aren't.
Real businesses fix their problems - so I try not to send out statements with more than one or two lines if I can help it. I ring the customer and try to discuss it with them.
