Hi

I've purchased 2019 Premier Edition to upgrade our 2013 Reckon as we're had the popup saying it's going to be obsolete.

When installing the downloaded Premier edition I get to the "select installation folder" part and I am unable to click on "select an existing version to upgrade" button as it is greyed out. in the greyed out area is my previous installation directory with the correct information saying reckon 2013.

I've been on hold with technical support for 33 minutes, so I thought I'd ask the forum?

Hi Jon, welcome to the Community

Sorry but could you post a screenshot of the screens you're encountering? (use the camera icon in the forum reply field to add an image). It'll just give me a better idea

Hi Jon - just select the option thats not greyed out - which is to install into a new folder for the 2019 version - thats always the cleanest rather than going over the top of the old files...  that way your 2013 version will still work if you need to access it.  cheers Linda

Thank you for the reply Linda, can I still import my item list, supplier list, customer list and accounts after doing a clean install from my old 2013 file?

yes, if you are not planning to upgrade your datafile but start a new datafile - then you should be able to open the old file in 2013 - exports your lists, then start a new file in 2019 and import those lists...
