Hey Mark, Have you tried the integration with Reckon One - Auto Entry? It's awesome. I haven't entered an invoice or a receipt since. It has text recognition so you simply email the PDF or JPEG to your AutoEntry special email, then you wait- they send you an email when it's ready, then you log into AutoEntry and approve the bill and allocate it wherever you want and magically it appears in Reckon

I have not tried the auto entry addon, it sounds good but the pricing is not clear, what is a credit, one receipt??

If one credit is one scan of receipt, do you get 25 receipt scans per month free?

BUT what happened to Reckon one making a standard part of THEIR package

Don't think so. It's a trial. Then it's paid. Saves me so much time. Give it a try.

Just dropping in to leave a quick note on this...

I am actively considering options for my small business and have today "ruled out" using Reckon based on this very feature (or lack thereof).

The leading choices for me (even the entirely free ones, by the way!) offer integrated "receipt image" filing and recording, so will allow me to snap pictures of receipts and depart from boxes of paper.  Folks, Optical Character Recognition is where it's at for mobile business working today... hence, I can't justify spending time looking at Reckon.

I don't post this to be unkind... but because I wonder how many others like me saw this and moved on.  Instead I'm taking the time to let you know the deal.

    Best of luck :)

Yes I agree. It's an annoying lack of feature.

Same here. It will be a dealbreaker for me.

    Hi all,
While this functionality isn't natively within Reckon One as yet, its available through our Add-on partner, AutoEntry which automates data entry by capturing, analysing and posting all of your bills, invoices & receipts straight into Reckon One. There's more info on our Add-on Marketplace HERE

I can also see there is a feature suggestion for this functionality listed in Reckon Ideas and its received a number of votes, I'd recommend voting for it as well as the more popular suggestions/ideas (where feasible) in the Ideas portal form the basis of future product updates.

I am also a Xero user and find the feature of storing files to go partly paperless invaluable.

I went into Reckon Hosted with the assumption that it would have the same feature - extremely disappointed.

    Hi Vicki

The above conversation is a few years old now and more specifically is related to Reckon One. There have been a fair number of updates since then and Reckon One has the document storage feature which you'll find information on below -

If you're a Reckon Accounts Hosted user then I'd recommend taking a look at the Links functionality which will allow you to add links to external files such as documents, images etc to various lists and transactions in Reckon Accounts Hosted. I'll add the full guide below which I'd recommend you review.
