Hi All,

Please be aware that following on from the Reckon Accounts Hosted maintenance
over the weekend we will be making further changes to the service tonight for
both Australia & New Zealand.

During
this period we will make changes to address login and performance issues some customers have
experienced today.

Maintenance will be carried out between
:
Aus: 9pm - 6am (AEST). - Completed


NZ :  6pm - 9pm (NZST).
- Completed

During this time you will be unable to login to Reckon Accounts Hosted service.
We recommend that you log out of the Reckon Accounts Hosted service prior to
the maintenance occurring.

We apologise if any inconvenience may be caused by this. Once maintenance is complete
an updated will be posted to this thread. I thank you for your understanding and patience.

Update: 12:30 am (03/06/2014)Due to unforeseen circumstances Australian maintenance is taking longer than expected and we now expect it to be completed at 6am (AEST).

There is not much understanding and patience.  You should be more in tune and not do such things at the end of a month.  A whole day wasted.  I feel so sorry for all those people who have small businesses that could not invoice or receipt for most of the day.

Good Morning Reckon, from our testing logging in via Internet Explorer 11 or Google Chrome both seem to be working fine this morning. Thankyou for your work to restore the system.

I'm still experiencing exactly the same issue as I have been since Sunday at 1 pm when I wasted 4 hours. Then yesterday. I get it, things liker this happen, but we have received no notification, the calls made to support not responded to. Come on.

HI Greg, There have been lots of emails sent out by Reckon in regards to the maintenance. How have you been trying to login?

Hi Nathan - thanks for responding. I am using Reckon Hosted Standard. I get errors -6000 and -80 when I login in. Support has also tried to log-in using my account and passwords and get the same errors.

QB hosted is becoming more unreliable resulting in significant costly and anxious downtime negatively impacting on my business. Support is ineffective and a further time waster. Despite continuous promises of a new platform and an better product since last November nothing has changed only becoming worse. Should I look at jumping ship and going to Xero or MYOB?

It would appear that completely inadequate computer resources are allocated to Reckon Hosted and/or the design of the database is completely unsuitable for the task.  The promise of a true web based system is eagerly awaited.  Should there be no substantial improvement then we will be forced to abandon Reckon Hosted on-line completely.

Hi Eric, if you want less functionality and more cost you can look at those products. Or you could look at transferring over to Reckon One. www.reckonone.com - this still doesn't have the functionality of Hosted. Even though Hosted is having issues at present, I have been on the beta test team for the new platform, and I can say, it will be worth waiting for.

In the mean time, you can contact Reckon and have them generate you a Desktop Enterprise licence number, install that on your computer and have them download your file from the Cloud onto the Desktop until the new version comes out perhaps?

Could this just be a problem with Windows 8 users.  I've had 2 other people login successfully using Windows XP and Windows 7

I just had a couple of replies from clients commenting they are back to normal today. Hopefully the situation will improve for everyone else.

Everything seems to be working again thanks, still not as quick as I'd like but it is working. When the new version comes out I hope the time the Citrix receiver takes to work its magic is reduced or avoided, particularly in the PC version. iPad and smartphone seem to connect a lot faster.

Thanks Mirko for doing your best when things were going a bit pear-shaped yesterday. When the company sits down to review what worked and didn't work perhaps putting more resources into coping with frustrated and angry customers will be one of the discussion points.

Thanks Lance. New version of Hosted does not rely on Citrix and is a full Browser solution. This should aid in stability and performance, as it will be a direct connection and not run through any third party apps. I'm really excited about it, as are the Beta testers, as you can see from some of Nathan's posts!

Yes, it's a full HTML 5 native browser solution so no plugins required, log in from anywhere on anything truly! Also, no more logon numbers, you will be able to setup actual usernames! Yay!! Plus, printing to PDF and using local printers (so no more unconnected printers), also a dedicated backup drive and a dedicated file upload and download facility to make working on and offline really easy. It's so close we can smell it... shouldn't be too much longer, we hope! :-)

I now have a windows security message asking me to enter my username and password to check my credentials, to be able to access the QBI domain.  It's not letting me get past this.

Hi can you please advise what to do with Citrix receiver and reckon virtual apps on my iPad? Am unable to access and message says "no apps available at this time" thanks in advance

Hi BeeFree Admin, you just need to open the Receiver on the iPad then at the enter server address or email screen, enter receiver.reckononline.com.au then proceed to enter your Reckon Hosted account details. If it asks for a domain name, that is QBI. Once it logs in, it should automatically show you the 2014 R1 icon and let you login and open Accounts. I cant get in.  First it was a double log in issue and now it is "This Web browser is not supported by RD Web Access. RD Web Access requires Internet Explorer 6.0 or later."  I have to pay people!

Or install Citrix Receiver and use the Premium login method, or try another browser via Citrix and Premium method as Karen said above.

I found that with IE11, I also had to add Reckon into my trusted sites before it would work.

I tried on Chrome and on IE latest versions with the security settings updated etc etc..  I am on standard so cant use the premium login.  I rang home and my partner could login after much mucking around with double logins and the other error issue.  So I drove home to do payroll.  Just tried to login at work and I get browser not supported/activex error message.  It worked on the same PC with the same browser last week so the problem is not me.

I'm pleased to advise that Reckon Hosted is now working satisfactorily following the severe problems following the 2nd June upgrade
The only outstanding issue is associated with recognition of local printers - system cannot remember any printer set up.  I am assured that this will be fixed when the true web version is available - please bring it on as the current process is less than satisfactory

Reckon can fix this. . When you ring the help line they often don't know what is going on. If you get someone who knows what they are doing they go in and fix setting at their end. We need to put pressure on them to improve their tech staff. We have had so many problems since starting with slowness etc, but now it is good. Ask for the manager in tech support or call the CEO of Reckon. This is what I did - you are worth it!!.
