US share prices unavailable in the Reckon Personal Range

Hi everyone,

US Share Price download services are provided by a 3rd party provider and for reasons beyond our control the 3rd party source of US share price data has ceased operation without prior indication and is no longer available.

We have established a workaround so that you can manually upload your US share price data into your Reckon Personal software.
Check out more information on this in our Help Guide here - Cannot download US Share Prices (November 2019).

ASX and NZX share prices are not affected and remain available for download in Reckon Personal Plus and Reckon Home & Business.

We extend our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.

    Is that it? No plans to find an alternate 3rd party offering the same? It's a valued feature.

    @Kim Loane

    There are no plans to make any changes to the Personal Range in its current form. The (much) longer term plan is to develop our cloud service, Reckon One to incorporate the unique features of the desktop-based Reckon Personal software into it and also add further enhancements to the offering such as bank feeds, mobile access etc. This has been approved as a project however is further down the line on the roadmap in terms of timeframe as there are a huge number of considerations to a project of this magnitude.

    Thanks for your reply Rav.

    I have been expecting that the product would move to the cloud at some point. The lack of investment in new functions and features over the last few years has been sending a pretty clear message that the existing product is reaching end-of-life. However, it is pretty disappointing that Reckon still charge the same, ever-increasing, annual licence fee without the commensurate investment in the product.

    If the 3rd party providing international share prices has ceased operation, then this is another saving for Reckon.

    Surely it would be a good gesture to the existing user base to find an alternate 3rd party. It feels a bit like Reckon is milking the user base for all it's worth in these sunset years.

    Probably a trigger to start looking for an alternative product.
