Using Reckon Personal Plus on Two computers

I had Reckon Personal Plus successfully installed on a Dell laptop.  I wanted to use a larger screen, so I backed up to a separate hard drive and installed Reckon on a Sony.  Reckon opened up fine in the Sony, but when I backed up again to the separate hard drive and tried to open it up in Reckon on the Dell, the screen came up asking “How do you want to open this file”

None of the options (itunes, Picture Manager, Notepad, etc are appropriate, so it directs me to the Ipad store?)

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Reckon on the Dell laptop, but without being able to access my Reckon files.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Community Pat!

When you're attempting to open the file back on your Dell laptop, are you opening the file via Personal Plus or just through Windows? From what you've described and the options you are presented with (iTunes, Notepad etc) it sounds as though you might be trying to open the file directly through Windows.

The file needs to be opened through the program itself. Also, it's best to ensure that the file is on a local destination on your PC before opening as opposed to a removable drive (hard drive, USB stick etc).
