I want to start importing information about costs of goods and sales into Reckon, I'm not sure what file type I need to use in order to do this.

Hi Bart,

you will need an iif file that creates a journal entry.  iif files are one of the black arts of reckon, but the info is in the help file - search for iif.

This is an area I specialise in and have helped many businesses bring data in from third parties using excel to do the grunt work.  So if you need a gun for hire, give me a call.

Hi Graham,

Thank you for your help. Could you please show us an example of the file to send to our software guy, and would you be able to help us set it up so our inventory system feeds automatically into Reckon?
Regards
Bart
