Why are there no amounts appearing in the "Current" column of the Aged Receivables Summary Report?

How do I change the Aged Receivables Summary report to read amounts in the "Current" Column, as there are only amounts in the 1-30 days column?

    Hi Ruth,

I think you may need to check the setup of your terms.

Current is not yet due, whereas 1-30 means your invoices are overdue.

    What terms do you use?

    Kind regards,

Thanks, for that Sally, but I have been through all the terms setups, as I realized they are the basis of these reports, but as they work on 30 days, or a certain no. of days, I find that I have to change the terms setup when I am printing statements as it doesn't register according to the month end, as not all months have the same no. of days, if you get what I mean.  There is no facility to set the terms for a monthly due date, just the number of days, which is a bit frustrating.  But with the AR & AP Ageing reports, there are absolutely no current amounts, only 1-30 days, unless we enter an invoice for the current day, then it appears in the Current column, but disappears the next day.  I have tried to vary the filters, but none of this works, so I have to export to a spreadsheet and delete the "Current" column to get a true printout.......... Any further suggestions?? :-) Is it something I have not looked at yet??

    Cheers,

    Ruth

    Hi Ruth,

What are your terms? If they are End of Month then you can definitely set this up.

There are 2 options when creating terms, one for x days and one for a specific due date.

If you enter the 31st as the due date, Reckon is smart enough to know you mean the end of the month and thus will allocate the 28/29/30/31 as required.

Also, try adding your due date field to your invoice template so you can check the actual due date, not just look at the term.

If you need to we can arrange a remote appointment where I can help you through this.

    Kind regards,

    Thanks Sally,

We do operate on EOM terms, which I have set for 31 days, and 30 days for due date for next month if issued within.  This has fixed the Statement problem, sort of, as I find that if for example, the end of the month is Feb, then I make the statement period from 1st of the month to 2nd of March, and that works fine.  But it still doesn't fix the problem with the AR & AP ageing summary report.  There is still no current figure in the first column.  I know it is something I am not doing, but have run out of options so far......... :-)

    Cheers,

    Ruth

    Hi Ruth,

Did you try adding the field to your template to make sure the term is working correctly?

I have heard of corrupt terms before and so we have created new ones and they work fine.

By saying 31 days and 30 days in the 2 corresponding fields is that not making it due End of Next Month?

Feel free to email me directly if that's easier, or as mentioned we can organise an appointment for me to remotely login and have a look for you.

    Kind regards,

    Hi, Sally,
The fields in the Customers' Statement template are not recording properly, as there are no amounts in "Current" which should be all invoices in the current month.  This is why I deleted the Current column and replaced it with the '1-30 Days past due' data field, and the '1-30 days Past Due' I have replaced with the 30 - 60 days, which I now call "Next Month".  But this still does not work as the previous months' (Jan) invoices, do not tally up with the amount in the '1-30 days past due'.  The last few invoices are coming under the 'Current' amount.
What am I doing wrong?????? It is so frustrating - I though I had it all worked out.  Now I have to send statements out for last month and they are not printing properly!  Is this normal for other Reckon users?  Do you know how I can fix this?
    Kind regards,
    Ruth

I should clarify that we work on monthly accounts with our Customers, with the current months invoices due at the end of the next month.  So that Feb's invoices are due by 31st March, etc.. Does this make any difference to the way things are set up in Reckon?
    Cheers,
    Ruth
