Windows 10 - Error Code -20

I am running Reckon Accounts Accounting: Small Business Edition 2015. Every time I select "Reconcile Now" in the reconciliation screen this message pops up: "Printer not activated - error code -20". When I close the message a new one pops up: "Could not print to printer. Check your printer selection. Printing may have been canceled from another program.". After closing that message I can complete the reconciliation process. I think this problem has only occurred since signing up for BankData downloads. However, I can't be sure about that because I upgraded to Windows 10 not long before that. I have no problem printing my invoices (I don't use the pdf function). If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful.

    Hi Maureen, thanks for reaching out to us.

    Please see our statement on Windows 10 here.

    Only the 2016 versions will be fully compatible with Windows 10.
    2014 and 2015 versions will work with the tweak of setting the launch icon to Run As Administrator.

     Set Reckon Accounts 2015 to Run as Administrator:
    • Right-click your Reckon Accounts icon and select Properties > Compatibility;
    • Under Privilege Level, tick Run this program as an administrator
    • Click OK.

    I had trouble finding the icon but I found it by using the Windows 10 search function on the Task Bar and your solution worked, thank you.

    It's started happening again. Do I need to run through the above process every time I open Reckon?

    The preference can be set to Run as Admin so that every time you need not to follow the same thing.

    Set Reckon Accounts 2015 to Run as Administrator:
    • Right-click your Reckon Accounts icon and select Properties > Compatibility;
    • Under Privilege Level, tick Run this program as an administrator
    • Click OK.

    Error Code 20 is an error code problem which indicates a general network failure. It is general purpose error which indicates that the underlying TCP connection was forcibly closed for some reasons.

    Error Code 20 is caused by the many things but Error 20 Code is basically caused either by a compatibility issue that ultimately results in the connection being forcibly closed wich makes it only look like a network layer problem or a network layer problem such as a connection interruption or a proxy/firewall.

    Hi, my old usb web camera Technostar/under Windows XP-have disk with drivers/ doesn't work under windows 10 Pro/no drivers-code 20/.How can I fix this problem? mmadjunov@hotmail.com
