I'm using Reckon Hosted and trying to setup my bankfeed using a Yodlee Small Business account. My financial institution is CBA netbank.

I know I can setup CBA bank feed directly from CBA but was hoping to do it via Yodlee in the first instance.

Firstly, is Yodlee small business supported by reckon bank feed?

If yes, where do I get my Yodlee Id for Yodlee?

    Hi Ashley,

Yes you can access your CBA bank accounts via a Yodlee connection.

However, you must setup the Yodlee account through Reckon.  You cannot use any Yodlee account you created independently with Reckon BankData.

Create your Reckon BankData account on bankdata.reckon.com > Activate, and follow the prompts.

Then add your bank account,  When asked to select your bank select "My financial institution does not appear in the list" to open the Yodlee options.  Then from this additional box select your CBA option - ComBiz or other.

Within 24 hours you will receive a confirmation of the Yodlee connection with your Yodlee ID for your CBA connection.  This will give you access to all accessible bank accounts on your CBA login through Reckon BankData.

You will be able to start downloading transactions the next day after setup for transactions that have been processed to your bank account from that day.

    regards,
    John

    Hi John,

These are the steps I've been doing:
    1.  When I do the activation via bankdata.reckon.com I select "my financial institution does not appear in the list"
    2. I then select my bank ""CBA"
    3. The next screen asks me for my commbank client id  & password. Which I enter correctly.
    4.  It attempts to login for sometime before I get an error code: 522   which means "Request Timed Out: The request has timed out as the required security information was unavailable or was not provided within the expected time."
I use a digipass to login to netbank (aka netcode).... which it didn't ask me for which would make it impossible to login into netbank.

Interestingly, when I login to my netbank using the Yodlee account it asks me for my "netcode".

So I'm wondering whether this error is because the reckon interface hasn't incorporated Commbank bank customers that use the "netcode" to login.

    Hi Ashley,

    Thanks for this additional information.

Your concerns here I need to escalate to our product managers who will need to discuss this aspect with Yodlee.

Generally, Yodlee cannot respond to any further authentications via SMS message, token, or in your case the questions asked by digipass.

At this stage it appears to me that the CBA signup screen is configured for no SMS, token or digipass being activated on the account.  It will explain the timeout you are receiving.  (My test here without the need of further authentication, was successful).  the only solution at the moment will be to turn off the need for further authentication on your Netbank ID.

In respect to the CBA, the direct bank feed is a more secure channel as it is a direct link between the CBA and Reckon only, setup after the bank has authorised your application.

    regards,
    John.
