YTD Figures on Payslips Incorrect

Last week we ran the "Clean Up Company Data" from utilities and have now noticed that there is a YTD Adjustment on each employee on 31/12/18.  The adjustment is equal to their gross pay for the period January to June 2018.  This amount has been added to the YTD figure in the YTD column on their payslip.  Is there any way this can be fixed without restoring our backup?  Thank you.

If you can restore a backup and rekey from last week - thats going to be the best option I think... when you ran the Clean Up Company Data - did you read all the screens carefully before proceeding?  if you entered 31.12.18 as your date to clean up to - then there are probably other implications for the data for this financial year as well, which you possibly haven't realised yet but will come to light... so I would roll back to the backup asap...  you can always run an Audit Report for All Transactions, modified SINCE you di the clean up routine... then send this to excel and use it to help you know what data needs to be reentered?  Sorry, but the Clean Up Company Data is not something you should do without careful consideration of the consequences and being sure of every step and what will happen to the data. :(

Hi Linda.  Thank you for your reply.  The date we actually used for the cleanup was 30/06/17, therefore I am unsure why there would be any changes as at 31/12/18.  We have used the same process 3 years ago without any issues.

Ok - well agree that doesnt make much sense?  are all the pay entries from 1 July to 31 Dec still in there - or just the YTD adjustment?

Interesting to note that there is now another post within this forum for somebody who is stating that the YTD figures re-set to zero during December.

I did see that post John... hasn't happened to my client files that I am aware of? - could it be as simple as the wrong Tax or financial year setting in Company Information?

Good question Linda.  That thought had gone through my mind.  I am still pursing it with the other party, so there are still some possibilities which need to be examined.  Thanks for opening up this idea.  John L G
