I have successfully entered 1st payrun with 3 employees and sent to ATO. Using the free online app. However YTD summaries are all double the amounts in the payrun.  How can this be fixed. I see other people have had same problem but cant see a response. Thanks

Sorry, I do not have the answer, but please realise that the free app is very basic, and if you want to do some serious work you will have to upgrade to the paid version. You do not have the Reckon support system behind it. I can say, it is more than worth it to upgrade. Another problem that I found with the free app is that it can not process voluntary super contributions of the employer in excess of 9.5%. As always: you get what you pay for.

My payroll for 5 employees takes me 5mins on a spreadsheet (projects YTD totals/accruals). The ATO wants the same YTD totals from providers who have technology that does not work period! I have asked the ATO to wipe my software ID submissions as I’ve had enough. Beyond ridiculous!

Hi hotkiwi, The rule about employee claiming deduction on super contributions has changed. After tax contributions to super can now be claimed by the employee as deduction. Employee does not have to request employer to make super contribution above the statutory 9.5% as employee can make additional super contribution from after-tax net pay.

I am not sure if we talk cross wired. I give my employees 15% super and in the free app have no way of doing that.

I agree, the App cannot handle RESC. I am just saying nowadays employee has more options with regard to super contribution.
