Creating Reciept Printer On/Off Function

I have a Senor Printer connected to the 2013 POS software via Toshiba Laptop, and need to turn off receipt printing but there is no Reciept Print on/off function key. The help function has a link to creating this function key however I cannot access these instructions via the help link. Is this the only way to turn off receipt printing ? Is there another way? Can someone please provide more guidance to enable the print receipt on / off function to be created or another method of enabling the receipt printer function to be manually turned on/ off ? Thanks

Hi Eva

An easy way to do this is to assign 2 of the little used function keys to perform receipt printer related functions.

I generally use F2 - Menus (displays Menu Bar if turned off) and F3 - Cash Paid Out (I just don't like using this function - another story!).

From POS Terminal.Menu Bar...

Tools > Options > Keyboard Tab > Design PC Keyboard Layout



First - Assign F2 to turn on/off Receipt Printer.
Select in this order: F2, Receipt On/Off, Apply Function to Key > Apply



The F2 Button will now turn receipt printing on and off.  You can check this via the status bar on the bottom right of the program



To accompany this, I also have a function to reprint the last receipt.  Often a customer will ask for a receipt after you have finished the transaction and this does it regardless of whether receipt printing is turned on or off

Assign F3 to Reprint Receipt
Select in this order: F3 , Print Receipt, Apply Function to Key > Apply


F3 will now spit out another receipt
