Fix Cheque Numbering! Remove it.

In the last year or so, automatic cheque numbering has started for payments made in the account register. So frustrating having to delete these for every transaction.

An error created by the software development team. It cannot be turned off.

We don't need cheque numbers any more as almost everything is paid electronically. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

I totally agree- I would like to be able to turn that field off globally. I also use the bank register often and this has only been happening since a recent update. You can’t even delete the number whilst entering the transaction as it doesn’t appear until after it’s been recorded
