I got to import the bank statements for previous months into reckon accounts 2013 from the Commonwealth bank and keep getting a runtime error 5.

The options for saving the files from the CBA are as follows:

CSV - for microsoft excel
OFX - myob MS Money, quicken 2005 and later
QIF - myob
QIF - quicken AUS, 2004 or earlier
QIF - quicken us, 2004 or earlier

    Hi again,

That message may come up if the file type for the bank statement import file is associated with an older version of QuickBooks/Accounts business.

Go to Control Panel > Default Programs > Associate a file type...., and set the .qbo file type with the current version of Accounts Business.

Full details on this process is at:

    regards,
    John
