How to merge Reckon Accounts Personal Plus files
Nicholas Lloyd-Shrimpton
I am using Reckon Accounts Personal Plus and while on holidays for 7 months I started a new file to track our family holiday expenses. Now that we are home can the two accounts be combined in some way?
Initially I thought I could open both files and copy and paste transactions from one to the other.

Hi Nicholas,
You cannot 'copy/paste' from one data file to another.
The option to 'export' transactions out of a data file was removed many versions ago.
What you may like to consider is a
CSV-to-QIF
or
XL2QIF
converter which would allow you to take a 'transaction' report from your Reckon Accounts Personal Plus data file (the one that contains your holiday expenses), 'export' that report to an Excel compatible format (CSV) and then convert that to a QIF file that you can import into your other data file.

Thanks Inigo. I found a file converter macro for excel that worked well. Thanks for your assistance.
