Up grade from QuickBooks Pro

I am having all kind of problems trying to upgrade. I just purchased Reckon Accounting 2014. Am I able to upgrade my QuickBooks Pro 8.1 to Reckon Accounting 2014 or have I just waisted my money and now need to purchase Reckon Pro 2014.

Hey Daryl,

Data files can only be opened in the same version they have been created in or higher (in this case Pro or above).

You can explore downgrading your file with a Reckon Partner or contact customer service on 1800 RECKON to look into getting RA 2014 Pro. I'm sure customer service can look into your purchase of Reckon Accounting also.

Is it therefore impossible to get an automatic method of loading QBPro into Reckon Accounts Accounting? My company no longer needs the Pro functionality and has purchased the Accounts Accounting Solution

As the data file has used features which are not available in Accounting it would not be possible. I've heard of some customer removing all data which is used by those features and then having success downgrading a file, but it is not recommended.

Aside from seeing a Partner or Reckon Data services to look at downgrading, you could start up a new file in Accounting.
