Can not email Pay Slips or Remmitances but can send individual invoices etc

Can not email Pay Slips or Remmitances but can send individual invoices etc. Install on new computer, everything appears ok, however when sending payslips the system indicates an error and shuts down entirely. Invoices send find so link to outlook appears to be fine.

    Hey Emma, welcome to the Community. Try to change the email Preferences. Go to the Online preferences and see "Display each email when sending more than one". Tick/Untick the selection box so it is the opposite to how it is now. Let me know how that goes! ^Mirko

    Apologies for the delayed response. I've just done payroll again and attempted the fix suggested but when I try to send the payslips I get a "not responding" and then the whole program crashes and has to be reopened.

    Can you please confirm what version of Outlook and Windows you have installed.

    Can you also check if you have any non-alphanumerical characters in the employee names, This can sometimes cause the issue.

    Hi Emma,

    Thank you for confirming, Does the same crash occur if using the sample company file?

    Further to this I would suggest contacting our support team by phone.

    I can send them successfully using the same file on other computers.

    I'll pass thanks. I refuse to pay per minute for support when I pay over $800 a year just to have the program. .

    The other thing I can suggest would be to reinstall both Outlook and Reckon Accounts making sure that when reinstalling you are logged in to Windows as the administrator.

    Thanks Andrew. We did a full reinstall when we started having issues, it didn't rectify the problem.

    Having done a google search on the issue, it appears it is a known problem which Quickbooks have yet to provide a workable solution for.

    Hi, there is a 4 month old issue being experienced by many community users.
    The Conversation is titled "Failed email"

    Reckon have admitted that the problem exists but have no idea why some emails go through and others fail.

    I have been working with Reckon Support over 4 months and still waiting for resolution.

    Best answer is to email Remittance & Pay Slips individually - this gives the best chance of email arriving.
