Reckon Accounts Error (-12,1)

Getting this error when we try to logon to an old QB file we haven't used for a while. Using Reckon Accounts 2013.

Hi Gareth, I've not been able to find anything with such an error code. Is anything else shown on your screen? What is the file extension you are trying to open (eg: .qbb .qbm etc).

Hi Gareth, is there a later version also installed on your PC that you are currently using? Are you trying to logon to an older than 2013 file using 2013, or is the old file 2013 and you are using the old program of 2013?

Mirko, it is a QBW file ext. Kim, we are using Accounts 2013 and as far as I know the file had been updated to 2013.

close the program and when you go to the shortcut to open it 'right click' and open as adminstrator, then instead of using the shortcut in 'no company open' try opening it from scratch, 'open or restore an existing company' > open a company file> find the directory with your file and open.
