Continuous Purchase Order numbers starting at preset number

Using Reckon Accounts desktop and I can't seem to get the purchase order numbers to stick. I would like the numbers to run continuously after transitioning from a handwritten system. The next number should be 1709 but when we enter 1709 and save it, the next purchase order number diverts back to 4 not 1710.

The memory seems to work for writing cheques and invoicing but not with purchase orders.

Any suggestions?

What version of Reckon Accounts are you running & AU or NZ.

This works perfectly in all my versions.

Save & New should work.

Thanks - we are using Reckon AU Premier 2014. We have tried both Save & New and Save & Close and neither seem to work. I've never had trouble with it before except on this client's computer. Perhaps it is their setup and we will need to contact Reckon Support for further help! Thanks!!
