How can I change the date format on Quickbooks Accounting: Small Business Edition 2012?

Hi, I have loaded Quickbooks Accounting: Small Business Edition 2011/2012 on to a laptop and the date displayed is in the American format of mm/dd/yy instead of preferred dd/mm/yy. I can not find where I can change it. Can anyone help?

    Hi Gill

    It is not in QB, it is in your PC settings, click on the System date, on the taskbar, then click Change Date & Time Settings.  Restart QB and your issue should be solved.
