Reckon Accounts 2016 Not Responding

I have recently installed Reckon Accounts 2016 on my computer (using windows 10). Accounts will run normally on start-up, but if I switch windows for more than 5 minutes when I come back to accounts it will be 'Not Responding' and will not resolve however long I wait. If I forcably exit Accounts and restart the program, it will only partially open and lapse back into 'Not Responding'. Accounts can only be made to work briefly if I restart the computer, but the problem recurrs consistently. 
Any troubleshooting suggestsions would be much appreciated.
