Asset Register & Depreciation set up

Does Reckon have the facility to 'house' an asset register with monthly depreciation etc.?

If so, how would I set this up?

    Definitley, not to what i am aware, there is Asset information area, but this will not do TAX DEPRECIATION for tax purposes. AS a Tax Agent, we use Reckon Elite Tax Practice solution.

    Hi Chandra,

    Does Reckon handle only 'accounting' (as opposed to TAX) depreciation or none at all?

    Looks like Reckon can simply hold a list of assets and I would have to manage the depreciation separately and journal in as required.......sound right?

    yes, depreciation for Tax purposes, you will have to maintain separately, have a look at that link, i dont think that link provides DEP as required for Tax purposes.
    or optionally ask your tax agent to do tax calc and you can do a journal entries.

    I use Reckon Asset Manager which integrates nicely with Reckon and handles full depreciation synchronisation

    If doing a manual journal what date do you do it as? 30 June 2017 the last day of the tax year? After the accountant has told you the depreciation amounts?
