Payslip showing a large neg number for leave owed

I have been using Reckon Hosted for a medical clinic for many years. My last pay run produced a large negative number for personal and holiday leave. See image. This has never happened before. Reckon were not able to resolve the problem. When I look at the pay details the figures are correct, only the payslip is faulty. I am using a Reckon Hosted. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Graham Did you check the employee record set up as to how much should accrue each pay run. Plus did you look at what the available accrual was showing on the payslip for the previous pay run. Other than that, mystery !! Shirley

Hi Shirley. Yes I checked back to the last accurate payslip and no changes were made to the entries. I attempted deleting the incorrect pay check and then re-entered it but the same negative numbers appeared. I have read that something similar has happened to another member and they could only solve it by making the employee inactive and then creating a new employee with the correct details!! Graham

Hi Graham You can go to the record and enter the correct accrual numbers. The program does warn you about doing this but it works. Change the numbers to what they should be under Leave. Then go to do a dummy pay and see what comes up for YTD top right of the screen. Should be what you edited the numbers to be. Shirley

Hi Shirley, I gave that a go but it failed. I eventually found I had no option but to make the employee inactive at the end of the financial year, delete her pay checks for the current year, enter her as a new employee showing the correct amount of leave owed in the record of employment and finally do a separate pay check for each one that I had deleted. My reconciliation was accurate but I wonder how data can become so corrupted. Many thanks for your suggestions. Graham.
