Error in my job allocations

Hi all, We run job numbers in our customer list, with job numbers being saved under customers. We had an error message shut us down on Friday, and now any saved before or after  that date cannot be allocated to, or be brought up as invoices without going the long way, entering customer name and selecting from list, instead of operating via job numbers directly.
Has anyone any idea where the error may have occurred.

    Hello Genevieve,

    Thanks for asking.

It sounds like the first customer:job of a sequence - beginning with the same letter or numeral, has been made inactive.  Make that customer:job active and it should work for you again.

For more details see this article.

    regards,
    John

No John I have already tried this, and your technical support tried the same thing yesterday. So you guys have exported my customer file and still not heard anything back, I must say I am a bit frustrated with Reckon 30 something hours later with no feedback
Reckon threw an error code and shut down and this corruption in my customer list has occurred ever since.

    Hi Genevieve,

Your next steps are to resort all your Lists, Rebuild and Verify, then if need be check the QBwin.log file (Q:\Log) and follow up on any errors found.  I presume you have made the Job with the same first digit active.

    regards,
    John.
