Adding the" amount" column to my chart of accounts

Can I Add columns e.g. "amount"  to my chart of accounts. At present you can delete columns but can you add extra columns and perhaps adjust the size of the existing columns

When you right click on the chart of accounts screen and choose customise colums you can only add the available columns on the left-hand side In the chart of accounts screen move your cursor to the header row and when it changes to a black cross at the current width of the colum you can left click and drag to resize Heather
