Employee Name Change and STP

I was once a reasonably calm payroll person, however with the introduction of STP I have turned into a paranoid payroll person so I apologise in advance for the following question.  I am trying to pre-empt everything that can go wrong before it does!  I have an employee changing their surname.  Obviously their TFN will remain the same.  When I submit my Pay Event this week will the name change cause any issues, as if will differ from previous Pay Event??

    I still haven't change the surname of this staff member because I thought my STP submission would explode at EOFY.  The staff member did not receive a "confirmation letter" from the ATO, however she advised ages ago that everything is now in her new surname.  I have finalised my 18/19 year - will I be safe to update her surname for start of 19/20??

    If the staff member is confident it is now updated with the ATO, then yes.
