uploaded backup doesn't appear in B drive

When I upload a desktop backup to online it doesn't appear immediately in the B drive.  I have been using this system for months and just lately this problem has appeared.  The backups do eventually appear after several attempts and logging in and out but it can take hours.

    The backup file hasn't changed significantly in size since this started happening and I have a VDSL connection that is working almost at fibre speeds.
