Invoice number missing on " Find " function

Reckon Accounts Enterprise 2017 Multi user Environment. Dedicated server + 9 workstations.

I have just noticed that when searching for a particular item " Find feature " the date, type, name, account, memo all show but the Inv is blank. I am guessing this is where the Invoice number is supposed to show but wondering if this is an error and should actually show the number or have Reckon left this blank for some unknown reason. Anyone else have this blank or is it just our system ?

Yes, this is normal - this particular search is in detail (eg every line in a transaction), only summary searches show the invoice number.

Thanks Shaz but if I do a summary search ( Detail Level ) I still get the blank column. We are currently supplying a of commercial jobs where we invoice 20-30 invoices to a particular customer and we some invoices have repeat items as we can invoice 20-30 units worth by separating the units on one invoice. If I am looking for a particular unit I need to double click each line to see that it is the same invoice. Sometimes 20-30 clicks per item per invoice on the above search. I have looked into help etc but cannot find anything relating to the above search. Any direction is appreciated in advance.

Yes, the Summary search will still display the same at detail level on this screen, however .....

... if you click on the "Report" button, the data will actually display with each line's invoice number too. You can further modify this report by removing/adding columns & changing the sort & total by groupings. You can then re-name it & memorise it for regular use

Hi Shaz, thank you for walking me through this. So what you are saying is that I am using the wrong search right ? Instead of using " Find " I should be using " Reports ". Is that what you mean ?

No, still in that same "Find" screen. On the RHS are several buttons. If you click on the "Report" button, it displays your Find results in a report format which includes the invoice number for each line.
