Can I attach files to invoices when I send them?

I've recently changed from Reckon Accounts Desktop to Accounts Hosted. Some of our clients require job photos and signed forms to be sent with our invoice.

This was really easy to do in the desktop version where the invoice was sent via outlook however I'm not sure what to do in Hosted.

I'm thinking I would need to upload the docs to my Q drive and attach them from there... but this seems quite cumbersome compared to what I'm used to.

Is there an easier solution, also what is the capacity of Q drive if I'm uploading pics for every invoice?

    There are a few options ...


    • As you suggest, you can upload the docs to your Q Drive (I'd create separate Folder(s) in Q Drive for this & delete docs from it as required to minimise use of storage space) Make sure your Online Preferences (Under Edit dropdown menu > Preferences. Select Online in LHS list & click on the Company Preferences tab) has the option for Display each email before sending ticked to allow you to add attachments onto each email:



    • Alternatively, if you like the direct, manual attachment ability of Outlook, you can send the emails directly out of Outlook locally by saving the Invoice to your Q Drive (via either Save as PDF under the File dropdown menu or by printing to a PDF printer instead of your local one), downloading it to your PC & attaching it, along with your other required docs

    You could also email the invoice to yourself and then forward with any attachment that you want to include.
