Add Barcode & weight volume to PO on reckon hosted
Does anyone know if barcode scanning can be added to purchase orders along with total weight & volume of inventory items on PO for freight calculation

It cant. You need to look at pos if you want to connect a scale

I already have the weights & dimensions under each inventory item. Just need it to display on PO & calculate a group total of weight & volume that includes all items under that PO

Already have the data predetermined with every stock items. We import an assortment of items which have predetermined weight & volumetric dimension information

Problem is ... though the data has been input into each item I cant seem to be able to get it to display on PO & find a way to calculate a group total of weight & volume that includes all items in the PO

@sailcity How have you entered these components (weights & dimensions)? Are you using specific/customised fields for them or do you just mean you’ve included them in the text descriptions ?
Whilst you can add certain fields & columns to your PO template, there’s only 1 “Qty” (sum-able) column. This would be being used for the Inventory Item itself so couldn’t also be used for other components.

You know a barcode scanner is just reading key strokes. There's nothing fancy about them. If you can use a keyboard you can use a scanner

Sailcity have you looked at the add on store? There are inventory management systems which integrate with Hosted. Fishbowl is one.

My understanding is fishbowl is set up to integrate with reckon accounts desktop … not hosted …. & Ostendo is set up more towards manufacturing rather than import & distribution supply chain inventory management

Unless one of the developers can build you something and that's always a huge risk of course. Not to mention expensive. Business outgrow their software every day. It's quite normal

True …. I have a few required features I need to have & incorporate if possible … others I can work around …. So trying to find something that integrates & fulfills the basic requirements… rest I can find a way around
